Inflammation is a normal response of the body to injury or disease and produces redness, heat, pain, swelling and loss of function in the affected area. Chronic inflammation can result in tissue damage which is most often the case in the case of arthritis. The symptoms of arthritis vary in severity from type to type and from person to person.

Inflammatory Musculoskeletal Disorders are common. The disorders do often become chronic and frequently recur, as in the case of osteo- or rheumatoid arthritis. There are over 100 types of arthritis’ (a disease-causing painful inflammation and stiffness of the joints).

Sinusitis is defined as inflammation of the paranasal sinuses. The congested mucous membranes block the opening between the nose and the sinuses preventing mucous drainage. This leads to the following symptoms:

• nasal obstruction
• facial pain & headache
• postnasal drip
• pressure between the eyes
• loss of smell
• excessive watering of the eyes
• intermittent fever
